Experiments with Flash – Flipboard transition

Recently I have been trying to add a minimal but eye catchy image transition for our product – realiT. I liked the way Flipboard uses page flip transitions but in more simplistic way. Board books used by kids of 2-3 years are inspiration behind such transitions. These books have hard pages that do not curl like paper, hence easy to turn and can last long. As children we have always loved simple stuff and that’s what we always yearn for. Such transitions bring back the emotional experience that we had when we were kids and hence employing such transitions is definitely going to connect to the users.

On a side note, I have tried to make this transition lightweight and optimal to be used for mobile devices too. So here goes a small demo
